Lisa’s thoughts on a book about some important questions for women…
I have recently had the opportunity to read Juli Slattery’s book 25 Questions You’re Afraid to Ask about Love, Sex, and Intimacy and I have to say that I loved it! This book takes an honest approach to some of the hard hitting questions that Christian women may be afraid or embarrassed to ask.
“Because Christians often don’t talk or teach about sex, women are confused about what to do with their sexuality. Whether you are single or married, having great sex or no sex, your sexuality is inseparable from your spirituality. In fact, every sexual choice is also a spiritual choice.” ~ Dr. Juli Slattery
The 25 questions Juli answers in her book offer input for all women, no matter what where in their relationship or life they find themselves. She tackles some sexual questions for single women, lays out encouragement for struggles that many married women go through at different stages in their marriages and tackles porn and homosexuality issues. Juli’s honest and biblical approach to these questions is refreshing, you’ll find no lectures here ladies. Juli’s heartfelt and honest wisdom made me feel welcomed and accepted no matter what my take was on a topic.
“God purposefully created us as sexual beings and intentionally designed our sexuality to be a powerful force.” ~ Dr. Juli Slattery
